Dear colleagues,

On behalf of the organizing committee, we would like to invite you to attend the 9th Xiamen Winter Symposium on Hippo Signaling in Development & Disease, to be held on November 2-6, 2018, in Xiamen, China. Xiamen, the "Garden of the Sea," is a modern port city located on the southeast coast of China. It is warm and sunny in November, and has an international airport with direct flights from many major cities in Asia, Europe and USA, and frequent flights connecting with Shanghai, Beijing and Hong Kong. The venue is Wanda Realm Xiamen North Bay Hotel (https://www.wandahotels.com/en/hotel/wanda-realm-xiamen-65-83) located in Xiamen Jimei district north bay coast, close to college village and Jiageng park.

The Hippo signaling pathway emerges as a critical regulator of stem cell self-renewal, tissue regeneration, organ size and cancer development. This Symposium focuses on the latest progress in identifying the novel components and functions of Hippo signaling, unraveling the molecular mechanisms, screening of potential therapeutic drugs and the possible application of these recent achievements in translational and regenerative medicine research. The meeting web-site, which is now live at http://hippo.xmu.edu.cn, contains details of our exciting list of invited speakers. In addition, up to 10 speakers will be selected from the abstracts to present their work as short oral presentations. We attach a poster advertising the meeting, and would be grateful if you could print this and display it in an appropriate place in your institute, and encourage your colleagues, post-docs and PhD students to register for the symposium. Please also forward this e-mail to any colleagues that you think might be interested.

We are sure that this will be a very enjoyable and rewarding meeting, and we hope that you will be able to come. We look forward to seeing you in Xiamen in 2018! If you have any other enquiry, please write to Ms. Denghong Xu at xws@xmu.edu.cn
